On a down side, the quality of the picture in the cinema was awful, with streaks and bubbles everywhere! GRRRR! We decided to complain afterwards and managed to get a set of free tickets! Wa hey!! Apparently the intense heat and humidity of the last few days had caused the film to start to disintegrate!!

BRRR GRRRR
Last night Ang and I went to the new cinema in Cherry Hinton (Cambridge) to watch The Day After Tomorrow. It was a real Hollywood blockbuster type film, with the usual cheezy Americanized plot of doom, and heart warming story of "dad goes on a dangerous mission to save his son, who he never sees coz he is too busy concentrating on his career while realizing that there is more to life than a job". The effects were fantastic, and you could really believe that New York was being flooded by a huge tidal wave! Just watching the film made me feel chilly, as the climate went arctic and the world started to freeze! BRRR!
