Helping Horses

On Sunday as we were driving back from church complete with Christmas tree in the boot we saw some traffic ahead of us on the A10. As we got nearer we saw a horse box with two people clambering around. As we we were about to overtake one of them shouted out... "help, help!"

Ang quickly jumped out of the car as I pulled over andput my hazards on. Basically the partition at the back of the horse box had broken and so was banging into the horses as they were driving along. Now they had to get the horses out to help them calm down - but we were on a busy road!

For the next 15mins we helped stop the traffic and protected the huge horses from the passing cars. What fun! The best mini adventure I've had in a while.

Free Gig!

Yesterday Ang and I went to a free gig in London organised by Radio 2. It was there special Christmas eve live recording that would go out at 8:30pm on Christmas eve!

What a fantastic evening! It was hosted by Jamie Cullum and on stage for most of the evening was the London Community Gospel Choir who were amazing. As it was Radio 2 there were numerous acts that took it in turns to first sing a solo and then perform with the choir. Highlights of the evening included Beverly Knight, Lucie Silvas, and Jamie Cullum. Other artists included G4, Liberty X, Simon Webbe, David McAlmont and someone else.

The music was great and has put us in the mood for Christmas!

It is Finished!!

.... well, nearly anyway. Wednesday night saw the first big change to www.alandang.com since its inception in 2001. To save costs and increase flexibility I have decided to move where it was hosting and it has worked pretty much seamlessly. There are a few things that will need changing including our news letter signup and guestbook, but hopefully by the end of the weekend everything will be set up correctly. I have been very pleased over how well the transition has gone.

Muder Mystery Evening

Last Friday we had a murder mystery evening in our own house! It was supposed to be the Orient Express and everyone came dressed as such (even me). We all had a great night, and Ang turned out to be the murderer!! Shock Horror! Posted by Picasa

Weekend Away

A couple of weekends ago Ang and I decided to take a long weekend to stay at a cottage on the North Norfolk coast. We had a wonderfully relaxing time and had fun walking, reading in front of an open fire, shopping and getting a haircut! Click here to see more pictures on our website.Posted by Picasa
