It is Finished!!

.... well, nearly anyway. Wednesday night saw the first big change to www.alandang.com since its inception in 2001. To save costs and increase flexibility I have decided to move where it was hosting and it has worked pretty much seamlessly. There are a few things that will need changing including our news letter signup and guestbook, but hopefully by the end of the weekend everything will be set up correctly. I have been very pleased over how well the transition has gone.

Muder Mystery Evening

Last Friday we had a murder mystery evening in our own house! It was supposed to be the Orient Express and everyone came dressed as such (even me). We all had a great night, and Ang turned out to be the murderer!! Shock Horror!

Weekend Away

A couple of weekends ago Ang and I decided to take a long weekend to stay at a cottage on the North Norfolk coast. We had a wonderfully relaxing time and had fun walking, reading in front of an open fire, shopping and getting a haircut! Click here to see more pictures on our website.

Feeding Red Squirrels

This weekend Ang and I travelled up to Southport on the NW coast of England to visit Angela's little sister (who is still older than me!). As part of our weekend's activities, we visited a National Trust park in Fornby which is famous for little red rodents, or squirrels to be more precise. I even had the chance to feed the little creatures from my hand (and take a picture at the same time!!). Have a look at more of these pictures on our main website .

Isn't God Great?

Since deciding to buy a new house in Linton (see below) God has been really good to us, and living up to his name as the PROVIDER! Moving house can be quite a stressful time, especially when the costs start to build up. We knew what we were letting ourselves into when we decided that we were going to move - but its never nice paying out so much money in one go to the (taxes, estate agents, and solicitors!!). Well, in the past week we have received over £500 that we didn't expect to get - how cool is that? Although it doesn't cover the cost of moving, it certainly eases the pressure.

This has reminded me of the last time we moved (April 2004) when the same thing practically happened. Only a few weeks after our offer was accepted, I received a cheque from the tax man saying I had paid too much tax!! God's timing is great isn't it?

We've Found A House!

Thats right, we've found a house... in the lovely village of Linton, SE of Cambridge. We've been looking for most of the summer (and sold our current one in the meantime). I will post more news about it when the sale goes through... but until then, YIPPPEEEEE!!
